📘 SINO Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Caroo AI (the “Company”) and its users regarding the use of the SINO mobile productivity and focus application (“Service”) provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

  • Service: Refers to the SINO mobile application and related services that allow users to manage focus sessions, view analytics, and utilize premium features through subscriptions.
  • Member (User): A person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service provided by the Company.
  • Data: Includes session records, focus statistics, app settings, and subscription details created or stored by the user within the Service.
  • Subscription Plan: Refers to free or paid plans (e.g., Free, Plus) offered by the Company that differ by usage scope and available features.

Article 3 (Publication and Amendment of Terms)

  • These Terms are posted within the application or on the Company's official website.
  • The Company may amend these Terms as permitted by applicable laws and will notify users at least 7 days in advance of any changes.

Article 4 (Membership Registration and Contract Formation)

  • Users may register by signing in with Apple ID or other methods designated by the Company.
  • The service contract is established when the Company approves the user's registration.
  • The Company may withhold approval in cases where technical or operational constraints exist.

Article 5 (Provision of Services)

The Company provides the following services:

  • Focus session management and timer features
  • Focus analytics and progress statistics
  • Subscription-based premium features via StoreKit 2
  • iCloud synchronization and backup of user data
  • Other related services determined by the Company

Article 6 (User Obligations)

Users must comply with the following obligations:

  • Follow these Terms and applicable laws
  • Do not infringe upon others' rights, reputation, or privacy
  • Do not disrupt or interfere with the normal operation of the Service
  • Do not upload, transmit, or distribute harmful or illegal content

Article 7 (Subscription Plans and Payment)

  • The Service provides different subscription plans (Free, Plus, etc.), with each tier offering varying functionality.
  • Paid plans are processed via Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit 2) and are subject to the App Store's refund and payment policies.
  • Users can manage, renew, or cancel their subscriptions directly through their Apple ID account settings.
  • Free plan users may be subject to monthly usage or feature limitations.

Article 8 (Data Ownership and Management)

  • Users retain ownership of their session data, settings, and related information stored locally or via iCloud.
  • The Company does not access user data directly; data is managed securely within Apple's ecosystem (e.g., iCloud, App Store).
  • When a user deletes the app or disables iCloud sync, their data may be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
  • The Company may use anonymized, aggregated data for the purpose of service improvement.

Article 9 (Service Suspension and Modification)

The Company may modify, suspend, or terminate the Service, with prior notice to users where possible. However, in the following cases, services may be temporarily suspended without notice:

  • System maintenance, updates, or security inspections
  • Force majeure events such as natural disasters, power outages, or network failures
  • Apple platform policy changes or technical limitations beyond the Company's control

Article 10 (Privacy Protection)

The Company protects user information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
For details regarding the collection, use, and handling of personal information, please refer to the SINO Privacy Policy available within the application or on the official website.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

  • The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of focus data or analytics results.
  • Users should interpret the provided data and insights as references only.
  • The Company shall not be liable for damages arising from network issues, Apple platform errors, or user device malfunctions.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  • Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court located at the Company's principal place of business.

Article 13 (Miscellaneous)

  • Any matters not specified herein shall follow relevant laws and the Company's operational policies.
  • The Company may establish separate policies or notices, which shall have the same effect as these Terms.
